Acta Geotechnica Best paper award 2014

Best paper prize published in 2014 in Acta Geotechnica by editors’ choice under the auspices of US Caterpillar awarded to the paper: “Experimental investigation of shear strength of sands with inherent fabric anisotropy”, Acta Geotechnica 9, 257-275, 2014, by Zhaoxia Tong, Pengcheng Fu, Shaopeng Zhou and Yannis F. Dafalias. The prize consists of $1000 and a certificate.

Lecture of prof. Jacques J. M. Desrues

Prof. Jacques J. M. Desrues will give a lecture entitled : “FROM DISCRETE TO CONTINUUM APPROACH OF BVP IN GEOMECHANICS: FEM-DEM INTEGRATED APPROACH” on Tuesday 18/10/2016 at 15:00.

Prof. Desrues is an invited lecturer of SOMEF project in Greece.

SOMEF at 2016 EMI International Conference in Metz

The SOMEF team will be present with five oral presentations at the 2016 EMI International Conference of ASCE. The conference will be held at the Université de Lorraine, Ile du Saulcy on October 25 – 27, 2016.

SOMEF at researcher’s night 2016

SOMEF will be present at researchers’ night 2016; the event will take place Friday 30th of September 2016 17:00-24:00 in the “Averof” building in the Historical Patision Building Complex.
